You were created for a unique purpose. When you discover and ALIGN with your purpose, you will be more effective and fulfilled in your life.

Your journey of discovery, however, does not begin with yourself. Instead, the key to discovering your purpose is to understand and acknowledge that you were created for a unique purpose. That means that you have a Creator, and your Creator has a plan – a unique purpose – for creating you. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:10 that “We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…”

The goal, therefore, is to discover and ALIGN with the Creator’s unique purpose for your life. There are a few key elements that will help you discover that purpose. These elements are like waypoints – the navigational markers that guide us on our journey. As you observe and define the waypoints of your life, you begin to understand the direction and purpose of your life.

The ALIGN process is designed to give you insight into five aspects of your life:

Abilities

These are your natural abilities, skills, and talents. These are things you like to do and tend to do very well.

Life Experiences

These are your past experiences – both positive and negative – that have provided you with a unique insight and perspective, and prepared you to serve individuals, groups, or organizations.

Interests

These are your interests and passions – your driving motivations. These are the things you love to do and that motivate you to take action.

Gifts

These are special abilities given by the Holy Spirit. They are given to every Christian to assist in ministry.

Nature

These are your natural temperament or personality traits. They determine how you relate to people and tasks.
